There is a dangerous trend growing in the deliverance movement: people learning the language without developing the life.
They know the terminology.
They know the names of demons.
They know how to command spirits to leave.
They know how to sound powerful.
But knowing the language of deliverance is not the same as being rooted in Christ.
Some believe that because demons manifest and come out, it automatically means they are spiritually mature or deeply led by the Holy Spirit. But demons come out because there is authority in the name of Jesus — not because of human greatness. The power has always belonged to Christ.
I am watching people believe that proximity equals impartation. They think if they hang around the right voices, stand beside the right ministers, or sit in the right rooms, they can bypass prayer, discipline, consecration, study, obedience, and spiritual maturity.
But borrowed language cannot replace a built foundation.
You cannot survive on somebody else’s oil.
You cannot stay grounded on somebody else’s revelation.
You cannot fight spiritual battles with shallow roots.
Eventually, every tree is exposed by its fruit.
When storms come, hype fades.
Performance fades.
Imitation fades.
What remains is foundation.
Jesus said the wise man built his house upon the rock. The storms still came, but the house remained because it was founded correctly.
The Church does not need more people addicted to appearances.
We need believers who are deeply rooted in Christ, grounded in the Word, disciplined in prayer, submitted to the Holy Spirit, and mature enough to remain standing when warfare intensifies.
It’s time to dig deep.
It’s time to stop building on quicksand.
Christ is still the only foundation that remains.
